The agreement
These terms govern your use of OverReact, a browser-based reaction recording studio operated by OverReact.tv. Creating an account or using the service means you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.
Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 in the EEA, to use OverReact. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
One person, one account. Sharing a single account between several creators to get around plan limits is not allowed, and is the kind of thing that gets an account suspended.
Your content stays yours
You keep every right you already had in the audio, video and other material you record, upload or generate through OverReact. We claim no ownership of any of it.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transcode, transcribe and deliver that material — only so we can operate the service for you and for the guests you invite. The licence exists so a render worker can legally touch your file. It ends when you delete the content or close the account.
We do not use your recordings to train machine-learning models, and we do not use them in marketing without asking you first, in writing, for that specific clip.
Source material you react to
You are responsible for the rights to every source video you bring into a session. This is the single most important obligation in these terms, because reaction content sits closer to that line than most video does.
By loading a source video into OverReact you confirm that you own it, that you have permission to use it, or that your use of it is lawful in your jurisdiction — for example as fair use or fair dealing. Whether a particular reaction qualifies is a judgement about your specific use, and it is not a judgement we can make for you.
You are equally responsible for consent from every person you record. If a guest appears in your session, you confirm they know they are being recorded and have agreed to it.
We respond to valid copyright complaints. If a rights holder tells us that material in your account infringes their rights, we may remove it and, for repeat infringements, terminate the account. If you believe a removal was wrong, tell us and we will look at it properly.
Acceptable use
You may not use OverReact to:
- Record anyone without their knowledge where consent is required.
- Infringe copyright, trademarks or any other intellectual property rights.
- Harass, threaten, defame or endanger anyone.
- Distribute malware, or probe, scan or attack our infrastructure.
- Circumvent plan limits, resell access, or run automated workloads that abuse the render queue.
- Break any law that applies to you.
Plans, trials and billing
Every new account starts with a 3-day full-Pro trial. No card is required to start it, and it does not roll into a paid plan by itself.
Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. Current prices, plan limits and what each tier includes live on the pricing page, and they may change with notice — a price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Free accounts have a hard storage rule: recordings and exports are permanently deleted 24 hours after they are created. It is stated here because it is a term of the free plan, not a bug report waiting to happen.
Refunds and cancellation are covered in one place: the refund policy. It is part of these terms and we do not restate its numbers here, so there is only ever one version of them.
Availability and your own backups
We aim for high availability and publish live service health on our status page, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages and genuine incidents happen.
Recording in a browser depends on your device, your browser and your connection. We are not liable for footage lost to a browser crash, a disconnection, a dead battery or a device failure. For anything you cannot afford to lose, keep your own backup as well.
Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, that creates a legal risk we cannot carry, or where the law requires it. Unless we are legally prevented from doing so, we give you a reasonable window to export your content first.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts in Delaware, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email at least 7 days before they take effect, and continuing to use OverReact after that means you accept them.
